How many sessions of counselling / psychotherapy will I need?
As everyone is different this is a really difficult question to answer without speaking with you in considerably more depth. For short-term brief therapy dealing with a specific problem, you can expect to need to budget for approximately 6 to 12 sessions. For more deep rooted, life-long, chronic, or complex issues necessitating longer term psychotherapy and counselling, much more sessions will obviously be required. Sessions typically occur weekly, however this may be negotiated to suit your circumstances. After our initial consultation I will have a lot better sense of both you and the concerns you need to work on, and will be in a position to give you a better estimate.
