Private Medical insurance and Workplace Wellbeing Plans
Private Medical insurance
Insurers all have slightly different rules of cover, and it is important to contact your insurer directly to check what your policy covers before attending any sessions.
You will need to get written proof of authorisation, or an authorisation code from your insurer before proceeding.
You will not need to make any payments to me, or file any claims with your insurer, as I will invoice your private medical insurance provider directly for payment.
Most insurers will usually only pay for short-term time-limited treatment for acute issues. They will also usually only pay for CBT, counselling, psychotherapy or EMDR.
I am currently registered with the following private health insurance companies:
- Allianz Worldwide Care: Contact your insurer.
- Aviva: Self referral, or through your GP or a consultant.
- AXA Health: Contact your insurer.
- Cigna: Contact your insurer.
- PruHealth: Referral can only be made through a consultant psychiatrist.
- WPA Health Insurance: Self referral, or through your GP or a consultant.
- Healthcare RM: Self referral, or through your GP or a consultant.
If your private medical insurance company is not listed above, get in touch and I will register with them.
Workplace Wellbeing Plans
If your company provides you with a workplace wellbeing plan then you may be able to claim for CBT, counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR, life coaching, executive coaching, clinical hypnotherapy and other therapies.
